Why the need to：

In Taoism, believer believe if there is deity, there will be evil spirit, “dirty spirit”.

Scenario 1
Before moving into a resale property, believers believe that a chanting to send off evil spirit is necessary as to have a peace of mind.

Scenario 2
Some believe that premises that are vacant for long period of time are considered to be a safe haven for evil spirit. Hence, the evil spirit may occupy the premises.

Scenario 3
Generally, believers believe that if a person is down on their luck（时运低）, they are easily possessed by evil spirit or being followed them back to their home. If there is no deity in this family, the evil spirit  will stay in the house, and may bring trouble to the person or the family.

These are the 3 common scenarios that believers most often hear or encounter.
In order to get rid of the evil spirit, believers will engage a Taoist priest to conduct ritual to ask them to leave.

为何需要:

在道教中，信徒相信如果有神灵，就会有“不干净的东西”。

现像1
在搬入二手住宅之前，一般信徒相信有必要以诵经把 “不洁净的东西”送走。这是为了求个安心，以便入住平安。

现像2
有些人认为，长期空置着的房屋是“不干净的东西”最安全的避风港。因此，“不干净的东西”可能会占据这类房屋。

现像3
一般信徒相信若个人的运气不好（时运低），会容易被“不干净的东西”附身或者跟随他们回家。如果这些人家中没有供奉任何神灵，“不干净的东西”会逗留在屋子里， 也可能会带给这些人或他们的家人麻烦。

以上是信徒最常听到或碰到的几种现像。通常信徒会礼请道长前来诵经要求它们离开。
