When one no longer worship the deity, they must perform a sending off ritual for the deity to return to heaven. This is to thanks the deity for their blessing and protection during the stay. This is also a kind of respect to the deity.

Hence, believers will engage Taoist Priest to perform the ritual to send off the deity back to heaven. Once the ritual is over, the deity statue will be cremated.

As for ancestral tablet, it will depend on the believer’s decision whether to re-invite the ancestral back to their new home or to send them to some other places. ie; sibling’s home, temple etc.

俗话说，来时有请，去时有送 (如果有邀请，就必须要送)。

当信徒不再供奉神灵时，他们必须为神灵进行奉送仪式来拜送神灵回返天堂。这是为了感谢神灵的祝福和保护，也是对神灵的一种尊重。

因此，信徒将通过道长的诵经仪式把神灵送回天堂。一旦仪式结束，神像将被火化。

至于祖先的神主牌，它将取决于信徒的决定是否重新邀请祖先回到他们的新家或将他们送到其他地方， 如兄弟姐妹的家，寺庙等等。
